Meet the Team
Robyn Davies BSc (Hons) MRICS
Senior Partner
As Senior Partner Robyn is responsible for Practice administration and development, and overall workload resource.
In addition Robyn is responsible for delivery of Surveying services within the Practice, and is based at our Head Office in Wolverhampton.
Robyn graduated from Bristol University in 1998 with a degree in Building Surveying, and joined our Practice as Building Surveying assistant. Robyn’s career developed through team leader to Office Manager of our Wolverhampton office. Following amalgamation of our offices, Robyn was promoted to Associate Partner responsible for Building Surveying services from our Walsall office.
Specific experience includes building and condition surveys, defect pathology, design and specification writing as well as contract administration for a wide range of refurbishment and new build projects; stock condition surveys for local authorities, housing associations, health authorities and education facilities both independent and local authority. In addition, Robyn also undertakes Party Wall and CDMC services.

Neil Hague BSc (Hons) DipSP CMaPS Tech IOSH ICIOB
Partner
As a Partner Neil is responsible for Practice administration and development, and Quality Assurance.
In addition as Managing CDM Consultant Neil is responsible for delivery of CDM services within the Practice, and is based at our Head Office in Wolverhampton.
Prior to joining DEP Health & Safety Limited in 2011, Neil worked for a national Health and Safety consultancy providing CDM services on a variety of projects including new developments and refurbishments of educational premises, extensions and refurbishments of industrial premises, new developments and major repair programme works for Housing Associations and Local Authorities, as well as new developments for large commercial clients nationally.

Chris Powell BSc (Hons)
Associate Partner
Chris has responsibility for pre- contract services. Chris commenced his professional career with this Practice progressing to Office Manager of our Ledbury office. Following a period of time spent at one of the top 10 international practices; Chris returned to The Derek Evans Partnership in 2014 to continue his professional career with us.
Chris has gained wide experience in projects for housing, residential and commercial sectors. As a Senior Surveyor specialising in the housing sector, Chris has formidable experience in establishing, negotiating and delivering contracts in all the forms currently used.

Gareth Miller BSc (Hons)
Associate Partner
Gareth has been with the Practice since 2005 when he joined as part of The Derek Evans Partnership LLP graduate surveying programme.
Gareth has developed to become Senior Building Surveyor responsible for Building Surveying services at our Wolverhampton office.
Gareth has a broad experience of work in housing, commercial, industrial, and education sectors. Gareth has been heavily involved in education sector securing funding and delivering capital programmes for Schools and Academies.

Angela Bird BSc MRICS
Associate Partner
Angela has responsibility for the delivery of pre-contract services and is a Chartered Surveyor. Angela originally joined the Practice in 2000, and after a 4 year spell at a registered housing provider, where she gained valuable experience as the in-house Employers Agent and the Technical Construction Manager, she returned in 2018.
Angela started her career at a large national consultancy as a traditional Quantity Surveyor, and after graduating with a degree in Quantity Surveying she joined DEP, where she progressed through the practice gaining considerable experience in commercial, industrial, educational and then ultimately specialising in housing projects.
Angela’ career experience of 25+ years in housing and regeneration, along with her procurement and contractual knowledge, has given her unrivaled specialist knowledge to the benefit of the Practice’s housing clients.
Angela brings a well organised approach and is focused on the successful delivery of a project.

Sarah Bradshaw
Associate Partner
Sarah is the Business Development Manager for the Partnership. Sarah seeks out land, land and build and section 106 opportunities on behalf of our RP clients, Developers and private clients.
Sarah joined the Practice in 2017 after a move from the Wrekin Housing Trust where she had delivered 500+ new homes over 18 design and build schemes during her 4 years as project manager. This included gaining planning, bidding for grant, tendering the schemes and agreeing specification and contract terms etc.
Having worked for both Clients and Consultants Sarah has 15+ years experience of working in development. As well as understanding HCA (IMS, grant claims and audit) and RP procedures for delivery in full, she is experienced in new business and has an array of contacts across the Midlands, SW and NW.
Sarah expertise and experience will help to establish Client requirements and find land and development opportunities to suit.

Matthew Burley
Associate Partner
After commencing work as a graduate trainee for an international contractor Matt progressed through the management structure and then joined a Housing Action Trust as a project manager. He joined our Practice in 2002 as a senior surveyor and was subsequently appointed an Associate Partner.
With an HND in Building Studies and a Diploma in Construction Technology and Management, Matt is responsible for post contract services and party wall services.
Matt has gained wide experience in projects for housing, residential, commercial, including supermarkets, retail warehouses, offices and healthcare. He has specialist experience in the social housing sector undertaking the larger more complex schemes for Housing Associations.

John Thomas BSc MRICS
Associate Partner
John is responsible for building surveying services within the Practice.
After graduating with a degree in building surveying John worked in the housing association sector on stock refurbishment. Then a period with a Liverpool based private practice before joining us in 1999. John has gained considerable experience in his role in building surveying services, for housing, health, local authority, post offices, commercial and industrial sectors.

Raymond Brown MRICS MAPM
Consultant Partner
Ray joined our Practice after an earlier career which spanned training and qualifying at a national practice of Chartered Quantity Surveyors, a period with local and central government, followed by national and regional housing associations. With the associations, Ray held managerial positions in maintenance, development and housing management.
Ray has progressed from Associate Partner to equity Partner before becoming Senior Partner in 2016; and has specific responsibility for the Practice’s social housing sector work involving pre-contract advice to clients and serving residential constructors and providers.
Ray’s career experience in housing, urban renewal, private residential and health has given him an unrivalled specialist knowledge of social housing, particularly frail elderly persons accommodation and other complex schemes, including elderly mental ill, special needs and learning difficulties facilities to the benefit of the Practice’s social housing clients.
